Synthesis of ferrocenyl Schiff bases ( 1–6 ) was carried out by the condensation reaction of 4‐ferrocenyl aniline with different substituted aromatic aldehydes and acetyl acetone. Compounds were characterized by physical measurements, elemental analysis, FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR and 13C‐NMR spectroscopy. Single crystal X‐ray analysis of compound 2 showed the co‐planarity of both aromatic rings connected by a C–N double bond. Compounds demonstrated reversible one‐electron redox behavior and their peak currents were found to increase linearly with the square root of the sweep rate ν1/2. The overall electrode processes were found to be diffusion controlled. Compounds 1 and 4 showed low cytotoxicity and appreciable antifungal, antioxidant and DNA protection activities. Complexes of uranium in its IV oxidation state, using cysteine, glycine, serine and aspartic acid as ligands, have been synthesized. Semi-microanalysis of the complexes indicate 1:1 metal to ligand ratio for all the synthesized complexes. Infrared spectra of solid complexes have been employed to establish the groups, coordinated to the metal ion. Effective magnetic moment of the complexes were also estimated.  相似文献

The biomaterials are intended to augment or replace the function of tissues or organs in human body. Every year millions of people require soft- or hard-tissue regeneration worldwide. Polymers and their composites are a large class of biomaterials appreciated for tissue regeneration. Polyurethane (PUR) is an organic synthetic multifunctional polymer with established biomedical applications. The hydroxyapatite (HA) is one of the biocompatible ceramic materials similar to natural bone material. The amalgamation of hydroxyapatite with polyurethane enhances the bioactivity of final product along with the combination of individual properties. Here, we review the synthesis, characterization, and applications studies of HA/PUR-based biomaterials. We initiate this review with a brief and representative compilation of the chemical composition and methods of preparation for HA/PUR biomaterials. Then, moving ahead, first, we review the simple HA/PUR biomaterials and use of PUR templates. Second, we review the significance of modified HA and PUR in these biomaterials. Third, we discuss the potential of bio-based PUR and inclusion of third constituent in the HA/PUR biomaterials. Then, we appraise the involvement of trace nutrient in deposition of HA on PUR scaffolds. Finally, we consider the other expedient applications of HA/PUR composites such as drug delivery system and sorbent of pollutants.  相似文献

13C-NMR Spectroscopy has been used for the structural characterization of polybenzyls synthesized from the polymerization of benzyl chloride catalyzed by arene chromium tricarbonyls. The 13C-chemical shifts for various mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrasubstituted phenyl groups in a polybenzyl have been calculated by the use of additivity parameters and compared with their observed shifts. Although from a theroetical point of view, polysubstitution on a phenyl ring gives rise to a number of isomers, the results indicate the preferential formation of only a few of them due to steric and electronic considerations. Based on quantitative 13C-NMR data, several important structural parameters including the percentage of mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrasubstituted phenyl rings in the polybenzyl can be calculated. The extent of branching in a number of polybenzyls prepared under different experimental conditions was determined. The results indicate an increase in branching with the increase in reaction temperature.  相似文献

Dynamics of a one-dimensional growing front with an unstable straight profile are analyzed. We argue that a coarsening process occurs if and only if the period lambda of the steady-state solution is an increasing function of its amplitude A. This statement is rigorously proved for two important classes of conserved and nonconserved models by investigating the phase diffusion equation of the steady pattern. We further provide clear numerical evidence for the growth equation of a stepped crystal surface.  相似文献

We study the relaxation to equilibrium of two dimensional islands containing up to 20 000 atoms by Kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. We find that the commonly assumed relaxation mechanism - curvature-driven relaxation via atom diffusion - cannot explain the results obtained at low temperatures, where the island edges consist in large facets. Specifically, our simulations show that the exponent characterizing the dependence of the equilibration time on the island size is different at high and low temperatures, in contradiction with the above cited assumptions. Instead, we propose that - at low temperatures - the relaxation is limited by the nucleation of new atomic rows on the large facets: this allows us to explain both the activation energy and the island size dependence of the equilibration time. We investigate circular motion of neutral test particles on equatorial plane near a black hole in scalar-tensor-vector gravity. We consider three cases (i) α < G/GN (ii) α = G/GN and (iii) α > G/GN to find the regions where motion can exist. The corresponding effective potential, energy, angular momentum and center of mass energy are evaluated. Further, we define four different cases for α > G/GN and identify stable and unstable regions of circular orbits. It is found that circular orbits having zero angular momentum exist at r = αGNM due to repulsive gravity effects. We conclude that the structure of stable regions for α < G/GN as well as α = G/GN case is completely different from that of α > G/GN.  相似文献
